Lean meat
A few years ago, the "Thick
cut of bacon" and other kinds of meat with a fat edge were the most popular
meat in Holland. But in these days popularity decreases because researchers
says fat is bad for your blood and your blood vessels and can cause a heart
attack. It looks simple, eat less meat with a fat edge and eat lean meat.
But it often is a fact that lean meat is less healthy than fat meat.
A pig or a cow normally do not grow lean meat They have to do artificial
interventions to make that possible.
A way to let animals produce
more meat is to give growth hormones. But these are often prohibited because
of their harmful effects on animals and people. But still in many countries
in Europe they use clenbuterol as an anti caught remedy. When they did
a random check in Holland there was clenbuterol in 10% of the Dutch cow
livers . For animals the result is a higher heartbeat rate and it causes
stress. For the consumer the result is even worse. It causes a higher heartbeat
rate, dizziness, muscular tremble and muscular pains or headaches. In the
same check they found anabolic, a grow hormone, in 1% of the steaks . Some
sport mans sometimes use this because of muscle growth, but it's not good
for the health. Several sport mans had to go to the hospital because of
the anabolic or they suffer from unreasonableness or aggression. Some researchers
who studied children who eat meat every day, observed the same. Some farmers
use hormone cocktails so they have a lower chance to get caught because
of using prohibited hormones. In that way you can find less remains in
the meat, besides most of the farmers stop treatment a long time before
the animal is sold. In that way the hormones are already absorbed by the
meat
