disclaimer
The instructions in this site for installing and upgrading computer hardware components
are intended to be as accurate as possible for the greatest possible breadth of design and
features of the components discussed.
Only features that are common to all variations of a certain type of component are discussed,
unless the authors found it to be impossible or excessively uneconomical to do so.
Unavoidably, many models of components of the types discussed here fall outside the domain
of these instructions because they are proprietary and heavily specialized in design and features. Because the specific ways
in which a component may be specialized or proprietary are not always apparent to the
purchaser and/or the person installing it, these instructions should at no time be
substituted for the documentation supplied by the manufacturer.
Most of this site was designed in August of 1998. It addresses most personal computer
hardware technologies available at that time. The authors are not in any way
contractually responsible for maintaining the currency of this site.
It is not intended to be kept continuously up-to-date as a periodical.
Most pages in this site show the date on which the page was last modified or updated; the accuracy
of installation instructions should be expected to decrease with respect to newer hardware
as the amount of time between this date and the present date increases.
The authors may not be held responsible for any damage to data or componentry that might
occur as directions contained in this site are carried out.
All currency amounts stated in this site ($) are in U.S. Dollars.
No part of this site, including layout, text, or images, may be copied or otherwise
reproduced without the consent of the authors.
