Above you can see where most shark attacks tend to find place. In the red areas there were over 100 attacks in 9 years. In the dark purple areas there were between 30 and 50 attacks over the same period of time. In the light purple areas fewer than 30 attacks took place. The shark's habitat are, of course, the seas and oceans, which cover 71 percent of the earth's entire surface, an area of some 361 million square miles.
