The Forest is the only thing that is saving the Amazon. The forest produces oxygen and cleanses the air of carbon dioxide that is produced by factories and other carbon dioxide producing facilities. The forest suffers from many pollutants. Certain pollutants, such as ones used in textile mills, are able to destroy vegetation. Near textile mills, vegetation is limited and hardly even weeds are able to grow.
