Q :     So, Michelle, did you have any acting experiences before you tried for "Odd Couple"?

A :    Erm, no. In my secondary school I was involved in LDDS (Literature, Debate and Drama Society)  but I never had any proper acting experiences.

Q :    So how did you get the courage out to go for the, audition?

A :    Erm basically my friends encouraged me to go and we all went as a group, it was a pretty fun experience. And well you know after a few tries I actually got in, and that was pretty cool.

Q :    Describe your feelings when you were acting.

A :    The rehearsals were very interesting because we actually learn how to work together and because it was a comedy, everybody HAS to be on cue and timing is important. And we always had like lots of food, as incentives so every time we finished a scene and the director is happy with it, we actually eat a lot of chocolates and drink lots of water,  and the whole routine will start again. It was a really good experience.

Q :    Didn't it take up a lot of time out of your school time? Your schedule is quite heavy, but you still have to make time for it. How did you cope?

A :    The rehearsals were held after school, so it wasn't that bad, and we didn't really have a lot of rehearsals so... (silence).. it was pretty amazing, you know, we ended very successfully and... (silence again) we managed to plan our time well and everything turned out fine.

Q :    So did you become famous overnight in your school?

A :    No, but after that I did have people coming up and telling me, you know, that it was a job well done, but other than that, there was like no fame in that sense.

Q :  How did you get into the character?

A :    Basically just read the script over and over and through the rehearsals, the chemistry between you and the other actresses builds up, and you gradually automatically get into the character. And it's very effective.

Q :    Are you a method actor?

A :    (Silence and hesitation)   No.
