
Choosing a production
Choose a play within your abilities, and you yourself must be convinced with the script before you can begin work.
Make sure you settle all the copyrights matters with the scriptwriter, or you will end up in deep trouble.
Form a reading committee, with department representatives from each of the sub-departments in production, like light and sound, production, costume etc. Everyone must read the script again and again, to make sure everything is understood clearly.
Priorities must be set too, like how much time, effort and money is spent on each section. You can draw a triangle like this :
