Introduction
One of the latest scientific methods of providing
factual evidencein crimes and legal disputes is the
use of DNA technology. For example, blood or semen
samples from the scene of a crime can provide DNA,
which can be analysed to prove whether a suspect has
DNA akin to the sample. In civil disputes such as
paternity suits, the analysis of the DNA of the
persons involved can prove that a man is not the
father of a particular child.
