Throughout geometry, especially when dealing with similar polygons, you will utilize ratios and proportions.  However, most Algebra I (Elementary Algebra) courses thoroughly cover ratios and proportions.  We have followed that tradition on this site, so click here if you need help with ratios and/or proportions!  Good luck!
