: Thanks in advance for the help.
: I have included this image for clarity sake.
: Ok first I get the Circ of the lower ARC (half circle)
: Pie*12cm / 2 = 18.84955592
: Then the two sides
: 6cm + 6cm = 12
: Then the two quarters placed together make up a half circle so
: Pie*8 / 2 = 12.56637061
: then the top line joining the two quarters = 4cm
: so
: 18.84955592 + 12 + 12.56637061 + 4
: = 47.41592653
: or 47.42 cm
: Now according to my text book that is the wrong answer, now my book might just be wrong but I dont feel like I am the right one to debate that :)
: Would anyone like to help??
I don't see anything wrong with what you are doing, IF the problem was to find the perimeter. Just out of curiosity, what is the answer according to your textbook?
