Thanks guys. I figured that I'd have to use the quadratic formula. I *think* the question was written incorrectly. I believe that the professor had intended to write:
X^2+X-6 Where X= {-3,2}
This was actually a function simplified from a larger problem. He said it would be easy as long as we were careful. Most of his quiz questions have answers that come out even, since we are not allowed calculators.
