Problem: sin[theta] + cot[theta] csc[theta] to csc[theta]

This is as far as I can figure out that I know is right:
sin[theta] + (sin[theta]/cos[theta]) * (1/sin[theta])= csc[theta]
sin[theta] + (1/cos[theta]) = csc[theta]

Here's where I get stuck and start making things up:
(sin[theta] * cos[theta] + 1) / cos[theta] = csc[theta]

I'm stumped after this. Keep in mind that the only properties that we've learned have to do with the pythagorean identity thingy [variants on sin2 + cos2 = 1] and that the last time I saw sleep more than 4 hours within a 6 hour block was Friday of last week [end of the quarter means long term projects that should have at least a week or so are assigned one day and due three days later] so keep it simple :D
