I'm trying to help my daughter enjoy a little geometry. In as much, we decided to try to figure out how tall a telephone was. Hence, we could get the following data.
It's a right triangle, so, we know one of the angles is 90 degrees.
We know the base length. We measured that as well.
Lastly, we know the angle of the hypotenuse which is 45 degrees, thus, the angle at the top is also 45 degrees.
However, I don't remember what the formula is to calculate the heigth of the telephone. Can anyone help?
