be careful here. you are allowed to simplify in parenthesis first but it will be
(2/3)*2 - 9y = 8(y + 3) ...[right? -4+7=+3]
If you make that change, the rest of your procedure is correct too
: 4/3=17y-88
: 89 1/3=17y
: y=60/51
