your ([4*8-5=2]^2) is probably (4*8-5+2)^2 : the + and = on same key
so that's 29^2 = 841
your (3-6-(7^2)*9 is probably (-3+6+9(-7)^2)
so that's 3 + 9(49) = 3 + 441 = 444
841 - 444 = 397
Notice that if you add instead, you get your answer: 841 + 444 = 1285
Has your damn math book been damaged by rain or something?
