: Hi I came upon theis website looking for the conversion of kelvin to celsius and farenheight and vice versa. I like how much mathematical and science information this website provides but I didn't find a link to the Metric System/Conversions here I know of others on the net but is one included at this website. I also wanted to ask anyone whose taking Chemistry or is studying the Metric System in their class, don't you think it's kinda dumb you have to know alot of numbers to convert like for Kelvin to celsius you have to add 273 or you have to multiply 0.0353 to get grams to ounces. Is their an easier way. Our teacher lets us use a chart but it doesn't have all conversions on it.

I'm taking chem but I don't think that it is stupid to have to memorize the conversions seeing as the U.S. is one of very few (if not the only) countries in the world that uses standard english measurements instead of metric. Plus, the metric system is MUCH easier to use because it's bassed on divisions of 10 units. There is no easy way to do the conversions but at least take comfort in the fact that you get to use a chart, some of us have to memorize all of the conversions.
