: I can not get in touch with my instructor. I have exam today on this- polar equations
: i need to find a rectangualr equation for the curve:
: x= sin a, y=csc a, a in (0, pie)
:
: and also
: x=t, y= sqrt(t^2 +2), t in all real numbers
:
: I am having trouble staring them. If you could him me set them up- I should be able to get them>>>>THANKS

1)
x= sin a, y=csc a, a in (0, pie)
y=csc a = 1/(sin a) = 1/x
(this is a rectangular parabole x*y = 1)
2)
x=t, y= sqrt(t^2 +2),
y = sqrt(t^2 +2) = sqrt (x^2 + 2)
That's it....
