: : Hey, I just need help on *how* to solve an algebraic equation that has variables on both sides.
: : Please, I missed that class today and don't have my mathbook at home.
: : I request help not answers!!

: What level? Something like: 4x + 7 = 7x - 8 ?

If it's something like Denis' problem, (4x + 7 = 7x + 8) then just try different things until you find it. I think you'll find that if you keep going up, then you'll get closer each time. For his, 5 would work. 4 x 5 + 7 = 27 7 x 5 - 8 = 27. 27 = 27. Hope I could help. I had this kind of thing last year, but somewhere along the line over the summer, it must have leaked out.
