: : how many sets of five consecutive numbers can be made from twenty five consecutive numbers?

:
: The question is not real clear, but another answer could be 21.

: {1,2,3,4,5}, {2,3,4,5,6}, .... {21,22,23,24,25}

It may not have been what "oldguy" intended, but the question WAS real clear. Webster's defines consecutive as "following one another in uninterrupted order; successive; consecutive numbers such as 5,6,7,8."

1 5 21 23 25 are in ascending order, not consecutive order.

Brad's answer (this one) is the only correct answer to the problem as it was stated.
