at first I was going to give you a hard time, but then I realized that what I see (at first) is not what you typed. In the future, it will be good to put a space before and after anything you type with a < or > symbol. It has to do with (something called HTML code and) the way computers interpret text.

anyway... if x > 1, then x is positive.

so let's recall some fundamentals...

for any number greater than 1, the square root of that number is between 1 and the number.

for any number greater than 1, the reciprocal (1/x) is between 0 and 1.

for any number greater than 1, the square of the number is greater than the number.

I'm not going to give you any more information (because I can be one of those people). See if that's enough to get you going.
