: Is there any easy way to look at a graph that is a variation of the sine or cosine curve and be able to determine its equation, using the formula:y= asin(bx+c)+k?

yes!

the amplitude is |a|.

the vertical shift is k.

the phase shift (beginning of a cycle) is -c/b.

the period (length of one cycle) is 2pi/b.

now just look at the graph and figure out what those values are.
