: Okay, I need mucho help with these.
: 1. Find a parametization for the part of the graph that lie in quadrant 1 for y= (x + 1)^(1/2)

:t=y=(x+1)^(1/2) t=y and t^2=x+1

: 2. For x=t^2-3 and y=t, what is the initial and terminal values? Find a caretesian equation for the curve that contians the paranetized curve.

:The cartesian equation can be found by solving each equation for t and setting them equal to each other. That is t=(x+3)^1/2 and t=y. So y^2=x+3. You can find the initial and terminal values.

: Thanks
