: How do I show that this equation is convergent or divergent, and what equation do I compared it to?
: lim from 0 to 1
: integral of dx/square root(x^3+x)

an equation is a statement. equations do not converge or diverge.
you may have a sequence in which terms converge or diverge.
Or, you may have a series that converges or diverges.

Depending on the expressions/terms/series/etc. there are various tests for convergence/divergence.
look to your class notes (or textbook) for guidence.
