Infiniti QX4 ('97)

The Infiniti QX4 is the upscale of the Nissan Pathfinder. The Infiniti version is differentiated mainly by leather seating surfaces, a new front end with huge fog and parking lights, and by a full-time four-wheel-drive system that works automatically. The design and structure of both models is a unibody. The Nissan is designed to be sturdy without a heavy frame. That gives it a weight advantage. The smooth ride of this wagon on the rough terrain is very loveable and is impressed by a lack of rattles and quivers. This is surprising because the Nissan is a full five inches lower than the Toyota 4Runner. Both the Pathfinder and QX4 are powered by a 3.3-liter V-6, but are distinguished by lots of pulling power, and not lots of free-revving speed. Prices have not been yet announced.
