There are many
different schools that race electric cars and one such school is
Miramar High School in Miramar, Florida. These students race
their electric cars all over the country. The students build the
entire car piece by piece. The physics students design a
configuration for the batteries that makes the most power for the
longest time. There were 7 students from Perry MIddle School that
went to Miramar High School to look at their electric car. This
visit was two days before the Miramar High teamwent to another
race. Four students were doing a project because they were
concerned about the safety about some of the cars. This came
about when one of their friends had just died when he got hit by
a car crossing the road. When we were at Miramar High School we
found out that FPL and other companies like that help them to buy
things that they need for their car and to help them get to the
