Construction Equipment

  • Windows 95/98 Notepad was used to construct and alter the HTML code of Veganet. None of the HTML code was generated or taken from an HTML editor.

  • Corel DRAW! 8 was used to generate all graphics (except the Thinkquest logo) on Veganet.
  • Both versions of Veganet, enhanced and text-only, were thoroughly tested for compatibility on all types of computers and browsers, including Macintosh System 7/8, Windows 3.x/95/98, Lynx, Netscape Navigator versions 1.x-4.5, Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 2.0-5.0, and WebTV.

  • The Ukiah High School library and the Ukiah public library were used for research.
  • SaberNet (a local Internet service provider) provided dial-up Internet access at home and MCOE (Mendocino County Office of Education) provided T-1 Internet access at school.
  • Ukiah High School provided all types of Macintosh computers to test Veganet, ranging from Macintosh L2's to G3's.
