1947 November 29, the United Nations General Assembly partitioned the area west of the Jordan River.
1950 Jewish Agency Settlement Department established cooperative farming called kibbutzim.
1960 480 settlements established with 33,000 farm units and 130,000 inhabitants.
1970 Israeli farmers produced more meat and vegetables than required by its population.
1971 Aquaculture Production Technology Ltd., began commercializing fish production in Israel.
1982 Rate of agricultural production in the Judaea-Summaria region increases 10% in 15 years.
1995 20 million irrigation systems in use world wide.
1996 There are over 129,300 Israelis in over 75 Kibbutzim in Israel
1997 Israeli company, "Gene Link," produces agricultural products with combinations of the most desirable characteristics.
