Intentions of the project
We got the offer to join the ThinkQuest contest together
with the Kaohsiung Girls' High School from Taiwan. With ginseng being widespread
as a medicinal herb especially in Asia und with there being the only ginsengfarm
in whole Europe just some kilometers away from us, the idea of occupying
with the subject "medicinal herbs" arose. Mint was added to have a direct
comparison between a medicinal herb from Asia and one from Europe. Besides
the mint is a very popular remedy in Europe. At the same time we were interested
in the way these two herbs came from one continent to the other one.
In order to exchange our information about that the internet
was very helpful because we would not have been able to co-operate otherwise
on such a long distance. We could exchange our materials by email
or file it onto the ThinkQuest-server, so that everybody knew what
the others were doing.
