The leaves of the mint plant
The leaves of the mint plant are 2,5-7cm long and about 3cm
broad. They are longish-oval, pointed and sawed sharply. On the top
side they have a dark green coloring and are bare, on the bottom side lighter
and partly hairy an the nerv structures. Besides they are occupied
with yellowish glands producing the mint oil on both sides. This can be
gained by a steam distillation.
