Stalk and leaves of the ginseng plant
The ginseng plant sprouts a 30-60cm long stalk the leaves are
situated at. These are stalked, divided in the form of a hand and look
like maple leaves. In the first year the plant possesses only three small
leaves, four in the second year and not until the third year the typical
five leaves grow for the first time.
