Great Wall of Badaling Ridge
The Great Wall is very famous on the world. Almost everyone knows the Great Wall, one of the seven greatest ancient man-made projects. The great wall is a symbol of the Chinese nation. It is just like a giant dragon, creeping across the northern part of China from Jiayuguan Pass (located in Gansu Province in northern China) to Shanhaiguan Pass (located in Hebei Province near to the Bohai sea). Its whole length is over 5000 kilometers.
The Badaling Ridge is the main peak of Jundu mountain, with an elevation of 1015 meters. This part of Great Wall near the ridge has been integrally preserved, and it is quite near to Beijing city. So if tourists want to learn more about the Great Wall, this is an excellent place to start.
