Paiyun Temple

The temple is used specially to celebrate Cixi's birthday. It's the most imposing building on the front side of the hill. There are four bronze crocks in front of the temple. In the middle of inside the temple, there is a Nine-dragon Chair. There is a stone corridor leading from its backyard to the top of the hill. All these have yellow glossy roofs, looking very splendid.

Foxiangge Pavilion(Pavilion of Buddha's Fragrance)

With a height of 41 meters, it's the largest project in the palace. There is a golden figure of a Buddha inside the pavilion. The pavilion has become a symbol of the Summer Palace. You can see it on the Kunminghu lake, and also, you can watch the Kunminghu Lake and almost the whole palace from the pavilion.
