The Forbidden Palace is the imperial palace of Ming and Qing dynasties. It is the largest and most integrated museum in the world.

The palace was first built in 1406 in Ming Dynasty. It occupies an area of 72 hectares. It has nearly 10,000 temples and houses of many kinds. Its South Gate is Wumen Gate, north Shenwumen Gate, east and west separately East and West Huamen. There is also a corner storey on each of the four corners.

The whole palace could be divided into two parts: the former one with the Former Three Temples as its center, was the place to deal with political affairs; the back one containing the Three Temples and the Imperial Garden etc., was for the emperor and his wives to live.

Go through the Wumen Gate from the south, to the north to another gate, Shenwumen Gate, you'll see the following places:The Taihe Templeᢼfont face="Verdana">The Zhonghe Templeᢼfont face="Verdana">The Baohe Templeᢼfont face="Verdana">The Qianqing Templeᢼfont face="Verdana">The Imperial Garden, who shows high artstic value.
