Without the Sports and competitors there would be no Olympics. Here is a line up of the proposed Sports for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

The Sports:

                    Introduction

                        There are twenty-eight sports on the program for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, of which seven sports have multiple disciplines.

                        Taekwondo and triathlon make their debut as Olympic sports in Sydney, as does the gymnastics discipline, trampolining. There are many new events included and proposed for inclusion for Sydney with the list of sports, disciplines and events to be confirmed by the International Olympic Committee in April 1998.

                        Here is a list of the sports and disciplines for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games*:
