Definitely, table tennis is as demanding an aerobic sport as
anything out there. True, with higher skill levels one would be
incline to move more and faster, but if you push yourself even when
just beginning, you can get the exercise benefits you need. Just
make sure that you're moving continuously for a reasonable amount
of time (>15 minutes), even if it's just bouncing in place.
