You can find information on Waldner at www.ittf.com, in their
player histories. It should be fairly comprehensive. Also, on the
table tennis newsgroup at rec.sport.table-tennis there has been a
lot of discussion on this great player.
If I were to interview Waldner, I would ask him when and how he
started playing table tennis, how many hours he trains each day and
what his training consists of, perhaps what he hopes to do once his
playing career is over, etc. Please keep us posted on your
article!
