Dust allergy as a disease

The dangerous thing about dust allergy is always the possibility that asthma comes up. Especailly children and teenagers are affected by this.

But also patient which suffer from dust allergy for a longer time can develop a dangerous asthma over the years. This development was discovered already at the beginning of the 80's. 62.8% of the patients with dust allergy had developed asthma after a period of 8.6 years. The asthma was a result of the allergy.

The scientists mean that two third of all asthmatic diseaes are results of allergies.

First the allergy is the main cause for the asthma attacks. But resulting of constant contact to the allergenic the asthmatic reaction 'keeps on running', and an inflammation of the bronchial mucuos membrane develops. Finally the inflammation, which was first a reversible process, becomes chronic.

The lung gets more and more destroyed, as it has no break to rebuild, like with an seasonal allergy. It's therefore extremely important to stop this development by adequate measures.
