Time in our lives
Second after second, minute
after minute, hour after hour,
month after month, year after year
time goes by.
If you only think about how
many times you look
on your watch, in one
day, to see what time
it is.
Maybee you don’t stand
still to think about it,
but time appoints our
standard of living.
When we wake up,
we already are
aware of time.
Time controls our
live.
Especially during the years
time has become more
important.
Everywhere we’re; at
home, in our car,
at work, on school or
somewhere else,
we’re surrounded by
chronometers:
watches, little clocks
on video’s or ovens,
diaries, pendulum-clocks
and so on.
It’s hard to imagine a
world without time.
But it hasn’t always
been like this.
In the past,
time wasn’t that important
as it is nowadays.
In many, many centuries,
ago people have lived
without clocks.
Clocks began to exist
with an organised society.
Before there were clocks,
people have a notice
of time like a lot
of people are
nowadays.
In history there were
cultures that though
different about time.
The ancient Egyptians
and the old Greeks for
example looked
at time as a god.
But in other cultures
they looked at time
as something else.
In the Middle Ages
time was printed as an
old man with a
scythe and an hour-glass.
They called him "Father of time".
When he appeared,
someone was going to die.
The hour-glass
was a sign that someone’s
time was over,
and the scythe took
away this persons live.
Nowadays time has
become very, very
important. It seems
that how more prosperous
we get, how bigger the
place is that time takes.
Especially with
businessman, the
expression; " Time is money"
is very suitable.
There are a lot of
ways to save money.
The prosperity of people
is getting bigger and bigger.
Everything must go quicker.
How will this take
place in the future?
