Navigating This Site
To get around in this site, use the menu bar located at the top of every page. Each of the four main sections
are divided into several subsections. In you are looking for general information, your best bet is to read
any of the articles in the Library that pertain to what you are looking for. If you are looking for something
specific, try our
site search.
Also note that you can use the "Back" and "Forward" buttons on your browser to go back and forth though
previously viewed pages.
Reading the Articles in the Library
The articles in the library are rather long, so you will most likely need to scroll down to view the rest
of the article. If you wish, you may print the articles out (usually by selecting "Print" from the "File"
menu) or download all of the articles as a single document in our
download area.
Taking the Quizzes in the Library
To take one of the quizzes, simply click on the radio buttons (the small circles) next to an answer choice
to select your answer (or use the TAB and SPACE keys if you are using a keyboard). When you have completed
all of the questions, click on the "Submit" button located at the bottom of the page. You will be taken
to a results page that will tell you what areas you need to review. You can follow the suggested links
or click the "Back" button on your browser to chage your answers and resubmit your quiz.
Using the Search Engine
Our search engine does a full text search on all of the HTML files in our site. To search for a word
or phrase (no quotes are necessary), type it in the text box, select some options to make your search
results stand out, and click on the "Submit" button. If your search term is found, you will see
a list of all pages that contain the search term. If your search term was not found (or if it was less
than 4 characters long), you will be asked to rephrase your search.
If your search is successful, you can view a page by clicking on it's title on the "Search Results" page. To make your searching easier, we have added a script that processes the page you select and highlights each occurance of your search term with the options you specified earlier. Each occurance is also linked to a hyperlink at the top of the page, so you can quickly locate your search term by following the numbered links at the top of the page. After locating your search term, you can use the "Back" button on your browser to return to the top of the page. Once you are finished viewing the page, you can return to the search results page or rephrase your search by using the links provided at the top of the page.
Using the EV Forum
The EV Forum allows you to post any unanswered questions you may have and allows the EV experts to answer
your question. To post a new question, select "Add a New Question" from the EV Forum menu. To browse
the questions that have already been asked, or to answer a question yourself, choose "View the Questions".
To add a question simply type in your name, the subject of your message, and your question, then click on the "Submit" button. To view a question or answer while in the forum, click on its subject. This will take you to another page that lists the full content of the question/answer you selected as well as any replies that have been submitted. You also have the option of replying to the question if you happen to know the answer.
Downloading Files From the Download Area
To download a file, just click on its name. If you are downloading the articles, faq, or quizzes, please
note that the Microsoft Word 97 format can only be read by Microsoft Word 97. If you have a different
word processor program, please download the RTF version.
