Contribute to China, an Inner Realm

To contribute to China, an Inner Realm, fill out the appropriate form(s) below. Click on "Browse..." and choose the file(s) that you want to contribute. When the form is processed, it will upload the file(s) you have chosen directly to our server.

However, this will only work if your browser is Netscape Navigator 2.0+. It will also work with Microsoft Internet Explorer if the upgrade for multipart/form-data MIME type has been installed. This patch is available here. If you do not have Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer or are lacking the features to upload, you can email us at 20443@advanced.org with the attached files and information.

PLEASE follow the directions for naming and uploading appropriate files for each section, especially filetypes. This will greatly help with the organization and user-friendliness of other viewers.

Thanks for contributing!

general and miscellaneous stuff

Use this form to upload general and miscellaneous China stuff, stuff that deals with China in general and doesn't fit in the other categories.

Notes:

  • You don't have to upload two files, you can upload just one; there are two file input areas just for convenience.
  • There are no directions on naming the files here. Just make it appropriate!
  • Make sure in the file somewhere you give your name/email/homepage/information so we can give proper acknowledgements. Otherwise, you're stuck as "anonymous".
  • File type: .txt or .html

pictures

Use this form to upload pictures of China, scenes and aspects that display China from your very own and unique point of view.

Notes:

  • Here it is highly recommended that you upload two files: a graphic file and a text file. The graphic file is the actual picture of China; the text file contains information about the file and you.
  • In the information file, identify yourself (name/email/homepage/information) and give information about the picture (where in China, occasion, etc.) so we can give proper acknowledgements.
  • If you choose not to send an information file, then you'll be stuck as "anonymous" and the file as "unknown" (unless of course we know what the picture is anyways).
  • Give the two files the same name so we will know that the two are a pair together! (like china.gif and china.txt) Also make sure you give the files a unique name so there won't be any conflicts with existing files (not china).
  • File type: graphics (.gif or .jpg); text (.txt or .html).

stories, experiences, tales, and interesting stuff

Use this form to upload stories from, of, and about China, interesting experiences, facts, literature, or tales that reveal China's inspiration, excitement, or uniqueness from a pair of eyes.

Notes:

  • You don't have to upload two files, you can upload just one; there are two file input areas just for convenience.
  • There are no directions on naming the files here. Just make it appropriate!
  • Give the story a title and attach some information/background about the story. It's always nice to spice the story up with a cool title and background.
  • Make sure in the file somewhere you give your name/email/homepage/information so we can give proper acknowledgements. Otherwise, you're stuck as "anonymous".
  • File type: .txt or .html

characters, words, and phrases

Use this form to upload Chinese characters, words and/or phrases that show the power, richness, and everlastingness of the Chinese Language.

Notes:

  • Here it is recommended that you upload three files: a graphic file, an audio file, and a text file. The graphic file is a display of the actual character(s); the audio file is the display of pronunciation; and the text file contains information about the character(s) and you.
  • If it is too much trouble to get three files ready for uploading, having just the graphic and text files is perfectly fine; we might be able to tolerate having only one file.
  • In the information file, identify yourself (name/email/homepage/information) and give information about the character(s) (definition, meaning, how you learned, etc.) so we can give proper acknowledgements.
  • If you choose not to send an information file, then you'll be stuck as "anonymous".
  • Give the three files the same name so we will know that the three are all together! (like china.gif, china.wav, and china.txt) Also make sure you give the files a unique name so there won't be any conflicts with existing files (not china).
  • File type: graphics (.gif or .jpg); text (.txt or .html); audio (Real Audio, .wav, .mid, etc.).
