Besides the references, there are also many people we would like to thank, to acknowledge, for their aid and support. Without them this page would have not been possible, as they given their time and efforts to help us by either letting us use their resources or by providing motivation to keep us going.

As you see, especially in the land section, there are many pictures and audio clips from China that are used on this page - and we definitely did not take them all or sing and play them all ourselves! We also use a good deal of perl scripts, Javascript, and Java as well - and we didn't write them all either. And you know that our page would not be the same without the enhancements provided to us by kind people from all over the world. So here is our chance to pay back our thanks and give them the recognition they greatly deserve!

To make things a bit easier and look less chaotic, we divided and grouped separate acknowledgement lists for each section. Pictures obtained were modified with an artistic edge and possible resize. Permissions obtained from appropriate sources were all obtained by Email.

This thing wouldn't even be existing if it weren't for the ThinkQuest® contest! We would like to thank Advanced Network & Services, Inc. for providing such a great competition for students and coaches. This is definitely something we will all remember, and our teamwork skills have definitely improved!

Those "ThinkQuest" People
We don't know exactly who they are, but those people at the ThinkQuest Help Desk responded well to our many cries for help when we ran into some problems. They even spent consecutive hours talking to us personally through Unix, listening to our complaints and neverending problems and trying to fix them on the spot. Now that is what we call help!

Jeff Carnahan and his Scripts
Jeff Carnahan is the creator of the upload.cgi script used in the Contribute section of our pages. The script makes things very convenient for users to contribute directly to our site without hassle.

EveryChat
EveryChat is the chat.cgi script that is used in our page for chatting. This allows visitors to our site to actually talk live with one another!

meep! media inc.
meep! media inc. is the creator of meep!Board, the Web Board CGI program we use for our Web Forum. This allows users to engage in live web discussions.

Matt Wright and his Scripts
Matt Wright has a large archive of wonderful scripts, but we only used his Guestbook. This allows visitors to our site to leave a mark, saying that they were here!

Keith Gardner
Keith Gardner wrote Web Email Lite, the wel.cgi script, that we use for our mail form message. Unlike that plain "mailto" thing, this script sorts out the mumbo-jumbo, sends emails to us, and even sends an autoreply to the sender.

Selena Sol and her Scripts
Selena Sol has a wonderful collection of nice scripts. Our site uses her Multiple Choice script, which allows users to take a quiz on China and see how well they did.

Darryl Burgdorf
Darryl Burgdorf is the author of WebSearch, the search.cgi script that we use to allow users to search and navigate our site with ease, allowing them to find exactly what they want or need.
