Paris is a commercial center of luxury articles (such as perfume, juwelry and haute couture). It is the most important national tradecenter. All important national companies have their headquarter in Paris. Paris is also the finacial center of the nation. Many of these companies can be found in a district called: La Défense.

The industrial companies are mostly not found in the innercity but at the outside of Paris. We can find car- and airplaneindustry, chemical industry, nourishmentindustry and electronic engineering. Tourism is also very important for Paris, you can find very many museums:
