1/2 CUP TAMARIND PASTE
3/4 CUP OF WATER

PROCEDURE:

1) PUT THE PASTE IN A BOWL, COVER WITH THE WATER AND LET
   STEEP FOR 1/2 HOUR.

2) MOVE THE MIXTURE AROUND WITH YOUR FINGERS NOW AND
   THEN SINCE IT CONTAINS FIBERS AND SEEDS.

3) STRAIN THE MIXTURE THROUGH A METAL SIEVE AND DISCARD
   THE IMPURITIES.
