She was accepted as a group member of the Visual Art Cooperative of the Philippines (VACOOP) under the leadership of the late Dean Joya and the Art Association of the Philippines (AAP), under sculptor Ramon Orlina. At present, she is a member of the Visual Creative Group (VACG) more known in the art circles as "Tuesday Group" headed by Mr. Angel Cacnio and Mr. Solomon Saprid.
On her first show Menchu Arandilla was recognized because she used barbecue sticks in projecting her flowers, trees, landscapes, leaves and branches. She will be more controversial because she provides art enthusiasts with a new approach in using her original "barbecue sticks" art on portraits and figures.
