Rodulf Gonzales

His love of art was evident at an early age and he began his apprenticeship with his father in 1963. By 1968 he also started working in the family's art gallery in the Ermita district of Manila. His first sale, the following year, was for a 9" x 12" seascape. This event paved the way for Rudolf to pursue his love of art and aspire to become a great artist. Finishing high school and college at Far Eastern University, Rudolf participated in numerous exhibits and competitions giving him the opportunity to express himself and discover his world through art.
Rudolf's talents and vision find expression through many mediums and subjects. The subject of his work include seascapes, landscapes, human interest compositions, still lifes, and portraits. His skill with charcoal, pencil, watercolor, pastel and oil, permits him freedom to explore his subjects and moods. Rudolf loves to experiment with mixed media in his art, unbound by "rules of art".
