Aviation finds a purpose

Even after the Wright Brothers accomplished heavier-than-air flight, there was one more major hurdle for aviation to overcome. No one could seem to find a use for it. In fact, for the first few years of its existence, aviation was considered primarily a novelty and was seen only at airshows. But this was all temporary, and soon, the true usefulness of heavier-than-air flight would be realized.
