Clare K. Woodward received her Ph. D. from Rice University in 1967. She now works as a professor of biochemistry at the University of Minnesota.

Ms. Woodward's main research interests are hydrogen exchange, solvent accessibility, solvent penetration, NMR, exchange mechanisms, protein secondary and tertiary structure. Protein Biophysics is the main area of her research. To seek the answers that she is looking for, Ms. Woodward studies the relationship of protein internal motions to protein structure and stability.
