Florence Sabin


Florence was born in Colorado in 1871. Her father was a mine engineer, and her grandfather practiced medicine. She went to Wolf Hall boarding school and Smith College. Florence attended   John Hopkins Medical School. She graduated in 1900 and in 1903 became an assistant professor.

Florence Sabin is well known for many things. She wrote many books. One of them is called "An Atlas of the Medulla and the Midbrain." Florence also studied with Osler, a famous researcher. Sabin was also instrumental in giving women mammograms.
