Marquita Jackson-Minot is a thirteen year veteran of the teaching profession who now works on Project
ARIES which stands for Astronomy Resources for Intercurricular
Elementary Science.
She began her education at Boston University where she received a degree in elementary education with a minor in biology. Her studies then took her to Cambridge University where she worked towards a master's degree in both elementary education and biology. Her thesis focused on "Teaching the Systems of the Human Body in an Interactive and Integrated Way".
Marquita Jackson-Minot found the perfect way to link astronomy activities to the rest of a student's everyday subjects.
Marquita Jackson-Minot has left the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and is now working at Outward Bound.
