Karyotyping

Did you ever stop to think about how chromosomes were analyzed? We were curious about the procedure too. We had our very own chromosomes analyzed through the process of karyotyping. This field trip explains the process from start to finish. Everything was exciting except being stuck with a needle. Hats off to all those brave souls who do not have a needle phobia. Terri O'Neill, Donna Patterson, and Peggy Young helped us through the process. You will see our very own karyotypes at the end of this Electronic Field Trip. We were glad to find out that all was well with our chromosomes.
