The first cloned animal was a frog made by a Oxford University Professor J. B. Gardon in 1960. This is known to be the first cloned animal.

The first cloned mammal was a mouse made in 1981.

The first "Cloned Livestock"
The first cloned livestock was made in August of 1984. This time it was a sheep that was cloned. This was announced in the magazine "Nature" in 1986.
